Crossfit Steelhead

Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making of the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.  We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our military, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

Trainer Profiles

Laura Ashland - I’m a mom of 3 who found Crossfit through friends and realized that the competitive person I was back when I was younger wasn’t gone. The day I walked into Crossfit I couldn’t do a pullup, a pushup, climb a rope, the list goes on! What I loved most about the place was all the people there didn’t care that I couldn’t do those things, they cared for me as a person, and helped to encourage every goal I set out for myself by cheering me along the way. I found some of my best friends at Crossfit; a group of people that not only sweat and work together, but also go on the river together and make plans together. This became something for me that was more than a workout, it was a family.
My passion is to see those who say “I could never do Crossfit, it’s too intimidating” come in and have their opinion changed in one workout. The majority of my personal clients are people who have injuries, physical limitations, or other mitigating factors that may seem to preclude them from doing Crossfit. I enjoy making Crossfit work around those factors and seeing people get better, and if your experience in Crossfit is that you didn’t get that kind of treatment...come talk to me!

Beth Mecklenburg - I have always enjoyed being active, and as a kid that was pretty easy.  I played sports all of my childhood, volleyball, basketball & softball. As an adult that got a bit more difficult once you add kids, jobs & life etc. I started CrossFit when CrossFit Steelhead opened almost 8 yrs ago, and I can't imagine being anywhere else.  I have found my closest friends in this community and have improved my health immensely. There is so much to learn as an athlete of CrossFit and now as a coach I can help with some of that.  I'm really looking forward to helping our gym community reach and even exceed their goals. Steelhead is my place and I enjoy welcoming, and helping new, & old, members become better & stronger versions of themselves...mentally, emotionally & physically.
